Our Story
Gallery Glass® began in 1979 as a small business dedicated to providing high-quality stained glass materials to artisans and crafters. Our founder, Jennifer Glass, was an avid stained glass hobbyist who quickly recognized the need for specialty glass paints that offered superior coverage and vibrancy compared to standard acrylics. Jennifer set out to develop an innovative glass paint formula in her home studio, experimenting with different pigments and mediums until she achieved the perfect consistency and unparalleled color intensity.
After months of testing and refining, Jennifer introduced the original Gallery Glass® stained glass paint line to local arts and crafts shops. The paints were an immediate hit with fellow stained glass enthusiasts who were seeking Jennifer’s same level of quality and performance. As word spread, Gallery Glass quickly expanded distribution along the East Coast and demand continued to grow. Before long, we had to move production out of Jennifer’s basement and into our first manufacturing facility!
Over the years, Gallery Glass® has continued to be a family-owned and operated business committed to our founder’s mission of providing crafters and artists with top-tier stained glass supplies. The Gallery Glass® family includes over 100 talented team members across manufacturing, distribution, marketing, product development, customer service and beyond. At the head of Gallery Glass® is our President and CEO, Amelia Glass-Martin (daughter of founder Jennifer Glass). Leading the company into the future, Amelia honors our history and culture while guiding strategic growth. She ensures that customer happiness remains priority one as we continue expanding the business.
Reporting to Amelia is our experienced executive leadership team who manage key areas such as sales, marketing, operations, product development, human resources and more. Cross-functional collaboration allows us to work efficiently toward unified goals. Leaders strive to foster an engaging and supportive workplace where all team members feel appreciated.
The real backbone of Gallery Glass® is our dedicated production and distribution staff who manufacture our industry-leading stained glass materials in small batches. Taking the time to mix precise color formulations and package orders by hand enables us to guarantee consistent quality. Our fulfillment team works around the clock to quickly process and ship orders to customers. Without their commitment each day, Gallery Glass® would not be where it is today.
Our Facility
Our state-of-the-art 150,000 sq. ft. production and distribution facility is located just outside Pittsburgh, PA. We relocated to this expanded space in 2018 to accommodate substantial business growth. The highly-automated building allows us to safely produce stained glass materials at scale while maintaining stringent quality control practices. Our full-time maintenance and engineering teams keep the facility running smoothly 24/7.

- Advanced production lines – Our automated lines blend pigments, fill tubes/bottles, label products and package orders with minimal human touch points. Conveyors streamline material flow.
- On-site R&D lab – Our talented chemists rigorously test new stained glass material formulas on a small scale prior to full production. We evaluate application, consistency, drying time, transparency, staining, washability and more.
- Quality assurance checkpoints – We inspect random samples from each production batch for proper fill levels, seal integrity, label accuracy and flawless paint finish. Only materials passing our strict standards ship out.
- Robust inventory management – RFID tags on pallets enable real-time tracking of all inventory. Our system automatically signals refill levels to keep popular products always in stock.
- Eco-friendly building – Energy-efficient HVAC and lighting systems minimize our environmental footprint. Solar panels provide clean power to supplement energy needs.
Our facility expansion was a major undertaking, but well worth the investment. The new space allows us to keep pace with increasing sales volume while maintaining exceptional quality control and swift order fulfillment. Glass Paint
Our claim to fame! Gallery Glass® first pioneered stained glass paints designed specifically for superior coverage, vibrancy and staining ability compared to standard acrylics. Today, our 110+ beautiful transparent and opaque glass paint colors lead the market in terms of smooth consistency, staining power and unsurpassed color intensity. Pigments maintain their vividness even in extremely thin layers. Our thick, premium paint formula applies smoothly without dragging or running. Once cured, Gallery Glass paint fuses permanently to glass for added durability and becomes dishwasher safe.
Metallic Paint

These permanent acrylic-based paints apply smoothly and deliver stunning pearlescent effects ranging from bold copper to ethereal gold luster. Leading
Liquid leading is essential for finishing the look of stained glass by outlining each piece. Our leading paint is specially formulated to cure into a flexible consistency similar to soldered lead caming. Available in black plus silver, gold and copper shades, our leading paint bonds securely to edges and adds definition. For speedier leading, we also offer removable leading tape that can be quickly applied around glass pieces.
Glitter Paint
Make your stained glass creatively sparkle with our set of 8 transparent glitter paints. Each sheer base color is densely packed with iridescent glitter particles that catch and reflect light beautifully. Glitter paints can be layered with other glass paint colors.
